Are there privacy regulations Toku must comply with?

Short answer: Yes. Toku takes our customers and their privacy very seriously. Find out more, here.

Toku is subject to the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”). This is a Singapore law that aims to “ensure a baseline standard of protection for personal data across the economy by complementing sector-specific legislative and regulatory frameworks. This means that organisations will have to comply with the PDPA as well as the common law and other relevant laws that are applied to the specific industry that they belong to when handling personal data in their possession.”

What about other privacy regulations like GDPR or HIPAA?

These are important regulations and we are familiar with them, and we support customers who must comply with these laws. We also feel they're important enough that they deserve their own article. You can find out more by going here.
